Apply existing water flow efficiently for maximum cooling. Quencher location is critical to reducing roll pass wear; our design applies water cooling directly after the roll leaves the mill pass to minimize damage to the pass. These units are manufactured under machine tolerances and guarantee alignment and fit for repeatable consistent performance. Stainless steel construction
Design
Quencher rotates for proper distance from roll. No mill modification required. Adapted to mill equipment as a standard bolt on unit
Slots
Slanted slot in order to accomplish more coverage across path. 5mm hole in center to concentrate cooling in bottom of pass. Slot is only as thick as tubing to prevent pressure drop
Water Flow
Enhances water flow by using slots instead of sprays. Designed to match the existing mill water supply. Slot location formed into tubing for improved water flow
Stainless
Allows unrestricted flow of water to mill roll. Resists buildup inside pipe, reducing the risk of plugging. Uses a combination of investment castings and machined parts
